Ed Brock is an award-winning journalist who has worked for various U.S. newspapers and magazines, including with American City & County magazine, a national publication based in Atlanta focused on city and county government issues. He is currently senior editor at Asian Hospitality magazine, the top U.S. publication for Asian American hoteliers. Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Ed began his career in journalism in the early 1990s as a reporter for a chain of weekly newspapers in Baldwin County, Alabama. After a stint teaching English in Japan, Ed returned to the U.S. and moved to the Atlanta area where he returned to journalism, coming to work at Asian Hospitality in 2016.

Marina MacDonald, Red Roof Inn’s chief marketing officer, is chair of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International’s 2020 Americas board of directors and executive committee as of Jan. 22. She has been with Red Roof for 10 years.

MacDonald launched the Red Roof Forum on Leadership for Women Entrepreneurs that showcases women in the hospitality industry. Previously, she was an honoree for the 2019 Marketing Hall of Femme. In 2018, she received the Paving the Way award from the American Hotel & Lodging Association.

“As CMO, she has forged a path and acted as a role model for women who aspire to leadership positions in the hospitality industry,” Red Roof said in a statement.
