Knowland upgrades navigation infrastructure

KNOWLAND RECENTLY UPDATED its navigation infrastructure to provide customers with a more intuitive and efficient way to access features. The new horizontal navigation bar, with simple icons and clear descriptions, helps users quickly access actionable insights and drive sales performance, Knowland said in a statement.

Knowland said that the update previews a new user platform currently in development.

“As the hotel sales models continue to evolve, hotel sales resources have broader market responsibilities and, as a result, less time to actively prospect,” said Jeff Bzdawka, Knowland’s CEO. “This new navigation is a direct response to these challenges. It is about empowering our users to focus on what matters most: building relationships and driving revenue. By quickly delivering the right information to their fingertips, we free them up for more productive selling time.”

The horizontal navigation bar features a predictable layout designed to be easier for users to find information quickly. By displaying menu items by category, such as accounts and events, competition, and markets, Knowland enables users to explore various features and functionalities.

The company also claimed that its users can now access frequently used functions more easily, leading to faster task completion, simplified sales workflows and more efficient decision-making to drive sales performance.

The most popular menu items are now more prominent, with clear visual icons and descriptions. For example, the Weekly Calendar feature lets users quickly see which accounts have visited your competitive set in a weekly view, the statement said.

In July, Knowland launched Knowland Select for hotels with limited meeting space, providing subscribers with a curated list of target accounts for upcoming periods directly in their inbox.

  • Policy shifts and trade tensions shaped the U.S. hospitality industry.
  • A congressional deadlock triggered a federal shutdown from Oct. 1 to Nov. 12.
  • Visa limitations and the immigration crackdown dampened international travel.

THE U.S. HOSPITALITY industry navigated a year of policy shifts, leadership changes, trade tensions and reflection. From Washington’s decisions affecting travel and tourism to industry gatherings and the loss of influential figures, these stories dominated conversation and shaped the sector.

Policy uncertainty took center stage as Washington ground to a halt. A congressional deadlock over healthcare subsidies and spending priorities triggered a federal government shutdown that began on Oct. 1 and lasted until Nov. 12. The U.S. Travel Association warned the shutdown could cost the travel economy up to $1 billion per week, citing disruptions at federal agencies and the Transportation Security Administration. Industry leaders said prolonged gridlock would further strain hotels already facing rising costs and workforce challenges.
