KARA Hospitality opens ESA Premier Suites in Rockingham, VA

The Extended Stay America Premier Suites – Harrisonburg in Rockingham, Virginia, is now open. The four-story, 92-room property was developed and will be managed by KARA Hospitality, with Mitesh Amin as managing partner.

Along with the Harrisonburg location, KARA Hospitality also developed ESA Premier Suites hotels in Colonial Heights and Fredericksburg, Virginia. The company also broken ground on a new Premier Suites in Charlottesville, set to open in 2025.


"We are thrilled to unveil Extended Stay America Premier Suites - Harrisonburg, offering a harmonious blend of comfort, convenience and personalized service," said Amin. "With its strategic location and array of amenities, we look forward to welcoming extended stay guests and providing them an unforgettable stay experience."

The pet-friendly hotel is near Sentara RMH Medical Center, Sentara RMH Funkhouser Women's Center, James Madison University’s Bridgeforth Stadium, Atlantic Union Bank Center, Massanutten Four Seasons Resort & Waterpark, Packaging Corp. of America, Sysco, Merck & Co. and the upcoming BUC-EE'S travel center.

Williams said they are committed to expanding Extended Stay America through franchising and look forward to future collaborations with KARA Hospitality.

In March, VMV Capital, led by President Viren Patel, COO Mike Bhula, and CEO Vinny Patel, opened Extended Stay America Premier Suites in Duncan, South Carolina.

MORE THAN HALF of Americans plan to travel between Thanksgiving and early January for the first time in at least five years, according to a Deloitte survey. However, the average number of trips dropped to 1.83 from 2.14 last year.

Deloitte’s “2025 Holiday Travel Survey” reported that the average planned holiday travel budget is down 18 percent to $2,334. More travelers plan to stay with friends or family rather than book hotels or rentals.
