HOSPITALITY PODCAST IT’S Personal Stories launched a redesigned website featuring nearly 300 interviews with hospitality leaders worldwide, expanding its digital archive of leadership insights. The site lets users search interviews by guest advisor name, title, company and categories such as brands and ownership or management groups.
The podcast was founded in 2022 by long-time BWH Hotel Group CEO David Kong, former AAHOA executive Rachel Humphrey and Acacia Hospitality Co-Founder Lan Elliott, and was originally called DEI Advisors. It focuses on personal leadership journeys rather than company performance or industry trends, according to a statement.
Each 30-minute interview covers defining moments, challenges, values, and lessons learned. Episodes include a summary of key themes.
“This platform was created to empower personal success,” said Kong. “I wanted to create a space where guest advisors could share their thoughts, experiences and advice to inspire the next generation of hospitality leaders. Their stories offer guidance on career progression, building confidence and making intentional choices. I hope others will be inspired to pursue their goals.”
In addition to the interview library, the platform features articles inspired by podcast conversations, the statement said. Topics include imposter syndrome, adversity, work-life harmony, leadership habits, influence and self-care. The content helps hospitality professionals prepare for business and career conversations by showing how industry leaders think and what shaped their approach.
The podcast has generated nearly 750,000 views on YouTube and remains free to access.
