ITC HOTELS LTD is planning to expand its boutique brand, Storii by ITC Hotels, across wildlife destinations in Rajasthan and Gujarat. The locations include Jawai, Ranthambore, Dhari Gir and Sasan Gir.

The company looks forward to strengthening brand Storii’s footprint while contributing meaningfully to the growth of India’s wildlife tourism, The Economic Times reported.


“We are pleased to steer the expansion of Storii by ITC Hotels into some of India’s most prominent wildlife destinations including Jawai, Ranthambore, Sasan Gir and Dhari Gir,” said Anil Chadha, managing director at ITC Hotels Limited, according to The Economic Times. “This enables us to curate nature-led experiences that embody the brand’s intimate and distinctive character.”

Storii by ITC Hotels Jawai, with 15 guestrooms and premium tents, is in the region’s granite hills, where leopards are often seen roaming freely.

“Together, we aim to create a journey that blends local traditions and authentic hospitality,” said Vilamb Singh, director of 1st Gate Luxe Pvt. Ltd, Storii Jawai’s owner.

Storii by ITC Hotels Ranthambore is a 40-key hotel at the edge of Ranthambore National Park, home to the Royal Bengal tiger.

Mohammed Arif and Mohammed Asif, partners at Bagh-E-Khaas, expressed their excitement about the project, saying, “Storii Ranthambore is a natural alignment with ITC Hotels.”

Storii by ITC Hotels Sasan Gir is situated near the world-famous Gir National Park in Gujarat, home to the Asiatic lion, and will offer 26 well-appointed guestrooms.

Hirenkumar Jashubhai Barad, owner of the Storii Sasan Gir project, said, “We are pleased to be associated with ITC Hotels and believe that Storii by ITC Hotels will help us provide special wildlife sightseeing moments at Sasan Gir and will also give an opportunity to contribute to the local economy.”

Storii by ITC Hotels Dhari Gir, with 60 guestrooms, is located on the edge of the quieter side of the Gir ecosystem.

Pankaj Lodhiya, partner, Star Developers said, “Our vision for Storii Dhari Gir is to create a sanctuary that reflects Gir’s distinctive character and offer holistic leisure holiday experiences.”

Storii Akanni Naina Tikkar recently opened in Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh, India. The 42-room property near the Churdhar peaks is owned by Alisha Gupta.

THE INDIAN GOVERNMENT approved a plan to develop a marina in Mumbai Harbor at an estimated cost of $101 million. The project will follow a hybrid model, with the Mumbai Port Authority investing $53 million to build the core marina infrastructure on an EPC basis and a private operator developing onshore facilities with $47 million.

The ministry has approved the port authority’s investment and tenders have been issued, with bids due by Dec. 29, according to PTI. The marina, planned over 12 hectares of water, will berth 424 yachts up to 30 meters long.
