IHG HOTELS & RESORTS and Rajdeep Infra & Sales Pvt. Ltd. will develop a 135-key voco Lucknow in Ashiyana. The hotel is under construction and set to open in the third quarter of 2029.
The hotel is connected to major urban centers and a short drive from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, according to The Economic Times. Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, is a hub for business, government, education and tourism.
“Partnering with IHG to bring voco to Lucknow aligns with our vision of creating high-quality assets in prime locations,” said Aman Singh Chauhan, Rajdeep’s director. “We believe the brand’s positioning, supported by IHG’s global systems and expertise, will fill a gap in Lucknow’s hospitality landscape and become a preferred choice for modern travellers.”
Voco follows the brand hallmarks “Come on in,” “Me time,” and “voco life.” It is IHG’s third project in Lucknow, alongside Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza.
Sudeep Jain, IHG’s managing director for South West Asia, said the signing is a strategic step in expanding the company’s premium portfolio in India’s key state capitals.
“Lucknow’s growth as an administrative, educational and business destination makes it an ideal market for voco’s distinctive hospitality,” he said. “We are confident this hotel will resonate with travellers seeking a premium, relaxed stay.”
IHG and Zon Hotels Mumbai, a joint venture of SanRaj Group and DGS Group, are developing a 350-key IHG hotel in Mumbai’s Western suburbs.
