HILTON WORDLWIDE HOLDINGS recently opened the Hilton Hyderabad Genome Valley Resort & Spa, its first property in Hyderabad, Telangana. The resort is in Genome Valley, a biotechnology hub and covers 20 acres.
The hotel, developed with C.K.R Resorts Pvt. Ltd., is part of Hilton's expansion in South Asia, the company said in a statement. It has 115 accommodations, including 13 pool villas and six suites and is located in the Turkapally area of the Medchal–Malkajgiri district.
“This resort brings Hilton’s signature hospitality to a new destination and offers a multi-dimensional experience to guests,” said Zubin Saxena, Hilton’s senior vice president and regional head, South Asia. “From dynamic spaces and culinary experiences to revitalizing amenities, this property is poised to set a new benchmark for leisure-meets-lifestyle experiences in India.”
The resort’s design draws on Telangana’s cultural heritage, particularly Kakatiya architecture with its stonework and sculptural forms. The project uses sustainable practices, including locally sourced materials and energy-efficient systems.
Srinivas Chintala Reddy, managing director of C.K.R., said that partnering with Hilton to establish the resort has been a meaningful journey.
“Hyderabad is home to a globally connected community that values culture, wellness and access, and this resort delivers on all three,” he said. “With Hilton’s global expertise and our local vision, we’ve created a destination that speaks to the city's rhythm while offering guests from around the world an experience that feels both rooted and refined.”
Hilton’s Asia Pacific portfolio recently added properties in Shanghai and Kyoto, the statement said.
Hilton reported third-quarter net income of $421 million despite modest RevPAR declines. As of Sept. 30, its development pipeline included 3,648 hotels in 128 countries and territories, 26 of which had no existing Hilton properties. Nearly half the rooms were under construction and more than half were outside the U.S.
