GLō Best Western Olive Branch is now open in Olive Branch, Mississippi. The 80-room property is owned and operated by Yogi DeSoto Corp. and was built by Patel Construction.
The hotel is part of the Memphis logistics network, with access to employers and distribution centers, BWH Hotels & Resorts said. It is within an hour of Clarksdale’s blues scene, Southern food destinations, literary landmarks, Ole Miss athletics and youth sports tournaments.
It has a prototypical layout and artwork tied to local cultural destinations, the statement said. It also has a fitness center overlooking an outdoor pool, a pergola-shaded seating area, grilling stations and a fire pit.
“Olive Branch is a hub for logistics, healthcare, and manufacturing, and this new property provides the perfect blend of contemporary design and character for those visiting the Memphis area,” said Amy Hulbert, BWH Hotels’ vice president of boutique and upscale brands.
Chintu Patel, managing partner at Patel Construction, said the company chose Olive Branch because of its economic growth, business activity and demand from travelers visiting the Memphis region.
“We were drawn to the market’s strong economic growth, expanding business landscape, and increasing demand from travelers visiting the Memphis region,” Patel said. “The hotel’s design, amenities and social layout meet travelers’ needs.”
In June, BWH launched a worldwide sales division to drive corporate business across its upscale and luxury hotels. The division went live June 1 after an internal rollout in May.
The BWH portfolio includes U.S. properties such as Aiden Kansas City Downtown, Caribe Royale Orlando, Eden Roc Miami Beach, Eden Resort & Suites in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, The Loren Hotel Austin and The Whitehall Hotel in Chicago.
