U.S. HOTELS NEAR 2026 FIFA World Cup host cities are reporting year-over-year increases in bookings and ADR, according to SiteMinder. For the U.S. opening match at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on June 12, booking volumes in nearby destinations rose 80.5 percent YoY, with ADR up more than 21.4 percent for stays in the week leading up to the game.
SiteMinder data through Dec. 12—one week after the World Cup draw on Dec. 5—shows forward hotel bookings more than doubled around select fixtures compared with the same period in 2025, with further ADR increases during the week of the final.
“With 48 teams from every continent and 104 matches to be played in 16 cities across North America, this is the biggest and most global iteration yet of the World Cup,” said Brian Reising, SiteMinder’s regional vice president, U.S. and Latin America. “The world is due to arrive on the doorstep of hotels in host cities and their surrounding areas—and hotels that are preparing early are capturing the most demand.”
Hotels near Dallas are seeing early demand ahead of England vs. Croatia at AT&T Stadium on June 17, with reservations up 113.65 percent YoY and ADR up 5.6 percent, the report said. The largest ADR increase appears around the World Cup final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19, with rates up 72.42 percent and bookings for the week of the final up 102.10 percent.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump’s proposal to expand social media checks for foreign visitors has drawn concern from the U.S. Travel Association, which warns the requirement for travelers to disclose social media handles from the past five years could reduce visits and spending.
