THE FEDERATION OF Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India will host the first FPO–Hospitality and Farmer’s Benefit Summit on Nov. 24 in New Delhi. The event is themed “Bridging Fields to Forks: Strengthening Agri–Hospitality Linkages for Growth.”

It will bring together leaders from hospitality chains, Farmer Producer Organizations and government ministries to strengthen supply-chain partnerships, Economic Times reported.

FHRAI President Surendra Kumar Jaiswal said the initiative aims to connect two key pillars of India’s economy.

“By linking farmers and hospitality businesses directly, we can create a model that strengthens both rural producers and the service sector. This summit sets the stage for supply chains that benefit the broader economy,” he told the report.

FHRAI represents more than 100,000 hotels and 500,000 restaurants across India. The Summit will focus on local procurement, supply-chain efficiency and rural inclusion. Sessions will cover circular economy practices, sourcing frameworks and policy needs for the agri–hospitality value chain.

The Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, NABARD, APEDA, SFAC, NAFED and major hotel groups are expected to attend, the report said. The event may draw over 500 participants, including representatives from logistics firms, agri-startups and FPOs nationwide.

In September, FHRAI urged the government to reinstate input tax credit, citing that the new GST rules for hotels with room tariffs below $84.75 could have an adverse impact.
