Daniel Dubowski is now senior vice president and chief information security officer at Marriott International. He will help strengthen cybersecurity and resilience across Marriott’s global enterprise as the company advances its technology transformation.

Dubowski worked at car rental firm Hertz, where he also served as CISO, according to Marriott Chief Information Officer Naveen Manga. He succeeds Arno Van Der Walt and will report to Manga.

“Dan brings deep experience leading cybersecurity and risk programs in hospitality, travel, financial services, and healthcare,” Manga wrote on LinkedIn. “As technology continues to transform our business, his leadership will be instrumental in helping us strengthen trust, resilience, and security across our global enterprise. I look forward to partnering with Dan as we continue building the future of technology with security by design and trust by design at the foundation of everything we do.”

Marriott is continuing its technology transformation, deploying artificial intelligence and other technologies to improve the guest experience and support associates and hotel owners. The company is also using conversational search and testing automation across hotel operations.

In June, Marriott launched Ask Bonvoy, a conversational AI search tool that helps travelers discover destinations across its portfolio. The beta is rolling out in U.S. English on marriott.com and the Marriott Bonvoy iOS and Android apps to selected members.
