Choice Hotels Elevates Guest Experience with Breakfast Revamp at Country Inn
CHOICE HOTELS INTERNATIONAL relaunched its breakfast program at Comfort and Country Inn & Suites by Radisson to attract guests and distinguish its upper-midscale brands. It is piloting new items, including a breakfast bowl at select Comfort hotels and a biscuit sandwich at some Country Inn & Suites.
The company is working with Florida's Natural and General Mills to source juice and cereal to supplement its breakfast menu, Choice said in a statement.
"At Choice Hotels, we recognize that a hearty breakfast is a key part of what upper-midscale guests expect, and these upgrades, co-developed with owners, are designed to deliver more value for them and for Comfort and Country Inn & Suites guests," said Judd Wadholm, Choice's senior vice president and general manager of core brands. "As we’ve done for 85 years, we continue to invest in areas that help owners generate more revenue and attract repeat guests, working closely with them to chart that path."
Comfort’s Build Your Own Breakfast Bowl will offer scrambled eggs, potatoes, peppers, onions, bacon bits, cheddar cheese, everything bagels and Nashville Hot seasonings. Country Inn & Suites will pilot Pillsbury biscuit sandwiches, the statement said.
The company is also working with its group-purchasing organization, Entegra, to align product offerings with guest preferences and owner goals. It will use Entegra’s food supplier relationships to secure pricing on items like eggs and muffins and develop menus that balance appeal and cost.
Choice’s partnership with Entegra, launched in July 2024, resulted in an average 9 percent food cost savings through March, based on market basket comparisons. It is now bringing franchise owners into the Entegra Performance Kitchen to work with the culinary team and provide real-time feedback.
Choice opened its 69th Annual Convention on April 29 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas with a keynote by President and CEO Patrick Pacious before an audience of owners, operators, and industry partners.

FOUR SEASONS, FORT Partners and Merrimac Ventures are jointly developing the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Telluride in Telluride, Colorado. The project includes 52 guestrooms, 43 hotel residences and 26 private residences for short-term and permanent stays.
The properties are being developed in Mountain Village near the San Juan Mountains in Colorado, Four Seasons said in a statement.
Toronto-based Four Seasons is led by CEO Alejandro Reynal, while Florida-based partners Fort Partners and Merrimac Ventures are led by founder Nadim Ashi and President and CEO Dev Motwani, respectively.
“This achievement would not have been possible without the support of local partners like Telluride Ski & Golf, the Town of Mountain Village and TMVOA,” Motwani said. “We are fortunate to inherit this site and build upon the work they’ve already done.”
Bart Carnahan, Four Seasons’ president of global business development, portfolio management and residential, said the company is offering a new opportunity for guests and residents to enjoy a ski destination.
“Fort Partners and Merrimac Ventures are ideal collaborators, with a deep understanding of the destination, Four Seasons’ legendary service and a shared commitment to creating experiences for both short-term visitors and residents,” he said.
“Telluride is a place of extraordinary heritage and beauty and represents a rare opportunity to create something lasting,” Ashi said. “Together with Four Seasons and Merrimac, we are creating a landmark that reflects this legacy, honors its natural beauty and endures for generations.”
