CHALET HOTELS LTD. opened the 158-key Aravali Marriott Resort & Spa in Faridabad, Haryana, India. The hotel is in the Aravali range and accessible from Delhi NCR and Faridabad.

The company rebranded the property from Courtyard by Marriott Aravali Resort, according to The Economic Times. The move marks Marriott Hotels’ expansion in North India and responds to demand for resorts near major urban centers.


The Mumbai-based Chalet is led by Chairman Hetal Gandhi and CEO Shwetank Singh.

The resort has more than 20,000 square feet of banqueting and outdoor space across five venues for weddings, corporate gatherings and social events, the Times reported.

“Delhi NCR has become one of India’s most active markets for destination weddings, leisure travel and short breaks,” said Kiran Andicot, Marriott’s senior vice president. “Aravali Marriott Resort & Spa responds to this demand by offering a well-connected urban resort environment. This opening supports our strategy to strengthen Marriott Hotels’ presence in high-growth markets adjacent to major cities.”

Anuj Chaudhry, the hotel’s general manager, said the resort is designed to provide an accessible and engaging experience for guests.

Marriott’s Westin Hotels & Resorts opened its first Jaipur property, The Westin Jaipur Kant Kalwar Resort & Spa, marking Marriott’s 200th property in India.
