APEEJAY SURRENDRA PARK Hotels Ltd. launched three hotels on March 31, expanding its presence across leisure destinations in India. The properties are Zone by The Park Darjeeling, West Bengal; Zone Connect by The Park Gangtok, Sikkim and Zone Connect by The Park Katra, Jammu and Kashmir.

By entering these geographies simultaneously, the company intends to strengthen its position in India’s design-led and mid-scale hospitality sectors, ASPHL said in a statement. The move also sets the tone for its 2026 roadmap, focused on expansion into leisure markets.

“The simultaneous launch of these three hotels underscores our commitment to growth and the diversification of our portfolio,” said Vikas Ahluwalia, Zone by The Park Hotels’ associate vice president and national head. “By establishing a presence in these locations—from Katra to Darjeeling and Gangtok—we are meeting the needs of the modern traveler. We look forward to 2026 as we continue our expansion.”

Zone by The Park Darjeeling marks entry into a hill destination, the statement said. Zone Connect by The Park Gangtok caters to demand for stays in a hill destination, serving leisure and adventure travelers. Zone Connect by The Park Katra marks the brand’s presence in a spiritual destination, offering stays for pilgrims and travelers.

Kolkata-based ASPHL is part of the Apeejay Surrendra Group, chaired by Priya Paul.

ASPHL, the eighth-largest hotel chain with asset ownership in India, operates five brands—THE Park, THE Park Collection, Zone by The Park, Zone Connect by The Park, and Stop by Zone—according to its website. Its first hotel opened under THE Park on Park Street in Kolkata in 1967 with 149 rooms.

Separately, ASPHL is also planning to develop a 218-key luxury hotel in Kolkata. It aims to raise about $38.45 million from a 69-unit serviced residence on EM Bypass, developed with the Ambuja Neotia Group, to fund the project.
