Introducing Ameyalli Park City by Appellation

APPELLATION HOTEL BRAND co-founders Charlie Palmer and Christopher Hunsberger are working with wellness expert Deepak Chopra to launch a new branded hospitality concept, “Ameyalli Park City by Appellation”, near Park City, Utah. The 78-acre retreat, set to open in 2026 in Midway, will include an 80-key hotel, a wellbeing center and multiple dining venues.

The resort will feature the Ameyalli Center of Excellence, offering health and longevity programming based on Chopra’s seven pillars of wellbeing: emotional regulation, sleep, mindfulness, movement, relationships, nutrition and laughter. Appellation will operate the property.

“Collaborating with Appellation aligns with my vision of creating spaces where well-being, consciousness and technology converge,” said Dr. Chopra. “By integrating AI, holistic well-being practices and culinary experiences, Ameyalli will offer guests a transformative journey toward self-discovery and renewal. Together with Appellation’s support, we are crafting sanctuaries that embody the essence of connection, community and conscious living.”

People have visited the site for generations to “connect with the land’s healing energy and breathtaking views,” Appellation said in a statement. Ameyalli will be built around a geothermal spring, with 28 hot springs and views of the Wasatch Mountains. The resort, designed by San Antonio-based Overland Partners, will draw inspiration from the surrounding landscape.

“We are honored to be part of the Ameyalli vision,” said Christopher Hunsberger, Appellation cofounder and COO and former Four Seasons president of the Americas. “This partnership allows us to offer guests a new sanctuary built upon the intersection of Appellation’s elevated and personalized hospitality and the transformative wellness programs of Ameyalli.”

The property sits on the edge of Midway’s village, near Deer Valley Ski Resort, Park City and the Salt Lake City and Provo airports. It will combine food and wellness, featuring a Charlie Palmer restaurant and bar, a 50,000-square-foot wellbeing center with a spa, mineral pool and garden-to-table restaurant, Appellation said.

Ameyalli will offer guests locally inspired, interactive dining using Appellation’s culinary-first approach, the statement added. The resort’s 55-acre geological preserve and garden will support its dining concepts.

In March, Hyatt formed an advisory board including Chopra to enhance well-being in meetings and events, overseeing well-being menus, culinary programs, and sleep wellness at select hotels.

Air India reducing flights after deadly crash

AIR INDIA WILL reduce international service on widebody aircraft by 15 percent through at least mid-July, according to media reports. The decision comes less than a week after the June 12 crash of an Air India airliner carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members in Ahmedabad, India, that killed 246 but left one survivor among the passengers.

The airline said the reduced service due to the safety inspection of aircraft and ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, which have disrupted operations, resulting in 83 flight cancellations over the past six days, according to ABC News. Passengers can either reschedule their flights at no additional cost or receive a full refund.

ICE Reverses Decision to Pause Raids on Key Industries

U.S. IMMIGRATION OFFICIALS have reversed enforcement limits at hotels, farms, restaurants and food processing plants days after issuing them, following conflicting statements by President Donald Trump, according to Reuters. ICE leadership told field office heads on Monday it would withdraw last week's directive that paused raids on those businesses.

ICE officials were told a daily quota of 3,000 arrests—10 times the average last year under former President Joe Biden—would remain in effect, two former officials said in the report. ICE field office heads raised concerns they could not meet the quota without raids at the previously exempted businesses, Reuters reported, citing a source.

However, it was not clear why the directive was reversed.
