The 161-key AC Hotel Portland Lake Oswego in Oregon is now open following the conversion of the former Crowne Plaza Portland-Lake Oswego. It is owned by Lake Oswego, Oregon-based BHG Hospitality, led by principal Bakulesh “Buggsi” Patel, and operated by InnVentures of Kent, Washington.
The hotel is within a 15-minute drive of Portland and near several golf clubs, spas and walking trails, the duo said in a statement.
“We’ve dedicated our energy to crafting a seamless, thoughtfully designed hotel experience that enhances every part of the guest’s stay,” said Patel. “We’re especially excited about our food and beverage offerings. The AC Kitchen—modeled after a high-end residential kitchen—provides the setting for our European-style breakfast. Meanwhile, the AC Lounge, the heartbeat of the hotel, invites guests to collaborate during the day and enjoy handcrafted cocktails and small bites in the evening.”
The hotel features indoor and outdoor swimming pools, the AC Lounge and a fitness center that doubled in size during the conversion, the statement said. It also offers six event rooms totaling more than 4,500 square feet.
David Montrose, executive vice president and head of InnVentures, said AC Hotels by Marriott has built a strong reputation for its elevated style, high standards, and service—key to its loyal base of repeat guests.
“For those drawn to Lake Oswego’s beauty and outdoors, the AC Hotel Portland Lake Oswego offers a guest experience unlike any other in this area,” he said.
In November, BHG opened TownePlace Suites Eugene in Oregon, operated by Louisiana-based InterMountain Management.
