STERLING HOLIDAY RESORTS Ltd. opened the 23-key Sterling Valley of Pine in Lansdowne, near Gumkhal, in Pauri Garhwal district, Uttarakhand. This is Sterling’s ninth resort in the state.

New Delhi–based Dev Bhoomi Developers developed the project, according to The Economic Times. The property is suited for leisure stays, small celebrations and leadership offsites and is accessible from Delhi NCR and western UP.

“Uttarakhand continues to be one of India’s most enduring year-round holiday regions and Sterling has built deep familiarity with how travelers engage with the state across seasons,” said Vikram Lalvani, Sterling’s managing director and CEO. “Valley of Pine, Lansdowne adds a calmer, more design-forward chapter to our mountain portfolio—created for guests who want meaningful time outdoors and destinations that feel restorative yet accessible. It also strengthens our presence across Mussoorie, Nainital, Dehradun, Rishikesh and Jim Corbett National Park—helping us curate connected, experience-led journeys across the region.”

Sterling, based in Chennai, is a subsidiary of Thomas Cook India Ltd.

Meghna Bhatnagar of Dev Bhoomi said the vision was to create a retreat for guests from across India.

“Sterling is the natural choice to bring this vision to life—their understanding of India’s leisure segment, regional presence and ability to blend local character with national scale make them an ideal collaborator,” she said.

Separately, Eco Hotels & Resorts recently launched its new brand, The Eco Boutique, with the signing of a 20-key property in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The property near the Aravali range is scheduled for completion by March.
