Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Orlando Resort & Suites in Orlando, Florida, recently completed a $7 million renovation of its South Tower. The renovated tower, with 164 guest rooms, reopened ahead of the launch of Universal’s EPIC Universe theme park.

Ramada Plaza Orlando is owned by MIC Hotel Corp., led by Swapnil Shah as president.

“This renovation marks a new era for our hotel,” said Shah. “We’re excited to offer families and theme park enthusiasts an elevated and stylish stay that’s not only affordable but conveniently located to all the attractions that make Orlando a world-class destination. And now, with EPIC Universe opening its doors, there’s no better time to experience everything Ramada – and Orlando – has to offer.”

The hotel has more than 295 guestrooms and suites, and is one mile from Universal Orlando Resort, in the city’s theme park and convention district, according to a company statement.

The renovated tower features Ramada’s Roja room design, with red tones, neutral colors, textiles and streamlined furnishings. The project also included updates to the lobby, meeting spaces and public areas.

In addition to the redesigned standard rooms in the South Tower, the hotel has a second tower with all-suite accommodations, the statement said. These suites in the North Tower include separate living and sleeping areas, kitchenettes and sleeper sofas.
