Radisson Hotel opens in Grand Rapids, Michigan

The Radisson Hotel Grand Rapids Riverfront is open in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was developed by GR Hospitality of Jenison, Michigan.

The 162-room hotel overlooks the Grand River and is near the DeltaPlex Arena and Conference Center and the Gerald R. Ford International Airport. Hotel amenities include a heated indoor pool and hot tub, its onsite restaurant River Rock Restaurant & Lounge and a ballroom that can accommodate up to 180 guests.


“As a new era of travel is on the horizon, our hotel is perfectly positioned to provide all our guests a great economic option when looking for an upscale stay,” said Suresh Patel, CHO and director of operations at GR Hospitality.

In September, Bill Hall and Jason Yarbrough became senior vice presidents for franchise sales and development directors at Radisson.

What's the latest on US extended-stay hotel performance for April 2025?

U.S. EXTENDED-STAY AND overall hotel RevPAR declined in April, reflecting their long-term correlation, according to The Highland Group. Economy and mid-price extended-stay hotels performed better than their respective classes, while upscale extended-stay hotel RevPAR fell in line with all upscale hotels, according to STR/CoStar.

The Highland Group’s “US Extended-Stay Hotels Bulletin: April 2025” reported a 3.6 percent year-over-year increase in extended-stay room nights available. This gain partly reflects the addition of mid-price brands WaterWalk by Wyndham in May 2024 and Executive Residency by Best Western in January to the database.

Report: IHCL’s U.S. hotels show strong recovery

INDIAN HOTELS CO. Ltd’s U.S. business has recovered, with The Pierre in New York and Campton Place in San Francisco seeing steady demand, Business Line reported. The two properties have about 300 rooms combined and contribute approximately 10 per cent of IHCL’s consolidated revenue.

IHCL’s hotel in San Francisco faced several months of low performance, reflecting economic conditions in the city, the Indian business daily said.
