The Indian Hotels Co. Ltd.’s portfolio grew to 615 hotels, backed by a pipeline of 255 hotels. IHCL is pursuing growth under its Accelerate 2030 strategy, focusing on portfolio expansion, brand diversification and asset-light development.

It expanded into wellness and boutique leisure through acquisitions of Atmantan and Brij, while strengthening the Taj, Vivanta, SeleQtions, Ginger and Tree of Life brands, IHCL said in a statement.

“In line with Accelerate 2030, IHCL has broadened its brandscape with the acquisition of a controlling stake in Atmantan, marking our entry into the integrated wellness space,” said Suma Venkatesh, IHCL’s executive vice president for real estate and development. “We have also entered definitive agreements to acquire a 51 percent stake in Brij, a boutique experiential leisure offering.”

Suma said the third quarter saw key signings across multiple brands, with Taj expanding in Bengaluru, NCR, Sri Lanka and debuting in Egypt. Gateway, Tree of Life and Ginger added new signings in Bengaluru, Panheli, Nashik, Gurugram and Ahmedabad.

“Our recent openings represent the breadth of IHCL’s portfolio,” said Deepika Rao, IHCL’s executive vice president for hotel openings and new businesses. “Taj debuted in Bhutan with hotels in Paro and Phobjika; SeleQtions expanded in Mandawa, Nadiad and Varanasi; Brij opened in Bandhavgarh; Tree of Life grew in Sariska and Vivanta and Ginger added new properties in Cochin, Ekta Nagar, Ahmedabad and Gurugram.”

With these additions, IHCL’s operating portfolio totals 360 hotels with over 32,000 rooms. The company remains on track to reach 700 hotels under Accelerate 2030, expanding its footprint in domestic and international markets.

In January, IHCL signed a 225-key Taj Mohali in Punjab, bringing its presence in the state to 14 hotels, including seven under development.
