Hihotels' Southeast Regional Convention held in Texas

HIHOTELS BY HOSPITALITY International, a franchiser of conversion and new-build economy hotels, recently held its Southeast Regional Convention in Spring, Texas. The event was part of a series of regional gatherings and brought together franchisees from Texas and nearby areas.

The convention, led by CEO Chris Guimbellot and team members, highlighted core strategies—communication, education, participation and differentiation—to drive the brand and its franchisees in hospitality.

Guimbellot emphasized taking small, consistent steps to meet the evolving needs of franchisees, the industry and travelers.

“By focusing on these key areas, we’re building a stronger, more resilient network of hotels that can better serve our guests and communities,” he said.

“This was a great opportunity to learn about updates for our brands and interact with the hihotels team and fellow franchisees,” said Sunny Patel, owner of the Scottish Inns in Crosby, Texas.

Initiatives for future growth include:

  • Extending the franchise-friendly philosophy with new communication channels.
  • Expanding education and training for franchisee support.
  • Increasing brand marketing funds to leverage existing infrastructure.
  • Growing the franchise development referral program to boost system-wide participation.
  • Launching recognition programs to reward excellence and distinguish hihotels from competitors.

“Our upcoming initiatives, including a soon-to-be-announced program, will celebrate our brands and further demonstrate our commitment to innovation and the success of our franchisees,” said Guimbellot.

In April, Hihotels added eight new properties across five states: three in Texas, two in Pennsylvania, and one each in New York, Vancouver, and Ohio. In August, it expanded its communication suite to enhance multi-channel franchisee engagement, providing hotel owners with support and direct CEO access.
