HOSPITALITY ASSET PROCURERS recently acquired the 149-room Hyatt House Atlanta/Cobb Galleria in Atlanta from an institutional seller. ROHM Group, HAP’s sister company, will manage the hotel.
The hotel is near corporate campuses including Home Depot, Truist Securities, RaceTrac, The Weather Channel, GE Energy, ThyssenKrupp and Vonage. It also is close to The Battery Atlanta, Truist Park, Cobb Galleria Centre and Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, Hunter, which brokered the deal, said in a statement. It has a fitness center, outdoor pool and meeting space.
Marietta, Georgia-based HAP is led by principals and founders Kirit Patel and Ketan Patel. Mayank Patel, Hunter’s senior vice president, led the transaction from Atlanta.
“The Hyatt House Atlanta/Cobb Galleria presented a rare opportunity to acquire an institutional-quality extended-stay hotel in one of Atlanta’s fastest-growing submarkets,” said Mayank Patel. “Strong brand affiliation and a diversified demand base position the hotel to outperform as the Cumberland area continues its expansion.”
Cobb County’s visitor economy generates $2.76 billion annually and supports over 32,000 jobs, the statement said. Major anchors include Six Flags Over Georgia, Cobb Galleria Centre and Kennesaw State University, which enrolls more than 45,000 students.
Newcrestimage recently acquired the 176-key, five-story NYLO Dallas Plano and plans to renovate and rebrand it within the Tapestry Collection.
