EKOSTAY EXPANDED ITS portfolio with the addition of multiple villas across India’s high-demand holiday destinations. The move follows increased demand for experienced-based travel.
Over the past two months, the company onboarded eight new properties in Maharashtra, including three in Panchgani, one in Igatpuri, one in Dahanu and three in Alibaug. The expansion continues this month with the planned launch of five additional villas in Palghar, Kodaikanal and Goa.
EkoStay is moving into the high-end segment with three "Luxe" category properties in Ooty. These 4, 5 and 6 BHK configurations are undergoing final preparations and are expected to go live next month, according to The Economic Times.
“India’s travel behavior has fundamentally shifted towards private, experience-led stays,” said Varun Arora, CEO and co-founder of EkoStay. “Our recent expansion reflects both growing consumer demand and strong homeowner confidence in professionally managed vacation rentals. We are focused on building depth within high performing micro markets while simultaneously unlocking new leisure destinations that show strong long-term potential.”
EkoStay was founded in 2018 by hospitality entrepreneurs Arora, Husain Khatumdi, Sohail Mirchandani and Zishan Khan. It currently manages more than 150 villas across 12 cities. The company operates on a homeowner partnership-driven model, aimed at providing structured asset monetization for second-home owners while delivering consistent guest experiences.
Khatumdi, EkoStay’s managing director and co-founder, said that the company’s vision has always been to simplify hosting for homeowners while delivering consistent guest experiences.
“Every new property onboarding represents a partnership built on trust. As more second home owners look at structured asset monetization, professionally managed homestays are becoming a strong alternate income stream and we see tremendous opportunity ahead,” he said.
Separately, Zostel Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. opened Zostel Varanasi in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. The property is in Bangali Tola near Dashashwamedh Ghat and serves spiritual travelers.
