Brigade seeks bigger footprint in Hyderabad, India

Brigade Enterprises Ltd. is expanding its development footprint in Hyderabad, Telangana to 10.5 million square feet by fiscal year 2027.

BRIGADE ENTERPRISES LTD. is expanding its development footprint in Hyderabad, Telangana with a target of 10.5 million square feet by fiscal year 2027. The growth strategy includes a 300-key InterContinental hotel.

The company is evaluating additional greenfield and brownfield opportunities to increase its hotel inventory in the city, according to The Economic Times. Projects are also being planned across verticals including residential, office, retail and flexible workspace scheduled for completion or launch through March 2028.


The pipeline includes 3.5 million square feet of residential development, with projects located in Hyderabad’s Neopolis and Secunderabad. The company is currently constructing Brigade Gateway Hyderabad, a mixed-use development where 60 percent of the residential inventory has been sold.

The Bangalore-based company is led by Executive Chairman M.R. Jaishankar and Managing Director Pavitra Shankar.

The flexible workspace division, Buzzworks, intends to triple its capacity in Hyderabad. The retail segment includes the construction of a 6.5 lakh square foot Orion Mall at the Brigade Gateway site, with plans to develop additional malls of approximately 1 million square feet each through land partnerships.

“Hyderabad has shown resilience and depth across cycles. We see it as a pillar of our long-term strategy, prompting an expansion across our portfolio,” said Amar Mysore, executive director of Brigade Enterprises, according to ET.

In 2025, the company acquired 20 acres in Hyderabad with a total development potential of 4 million square feet.

In December, Hilton Worldwide Holdings recently opened the Hilton Hyderabad Genome Valley Resort & Spa, its first property in Hyderabad, Telangana.
