SpringHill Suites by Marriot Montgomery Downtown is now open in downtown Montgomery, Alabama. The Marriott franchise is owned and managed by Buford-based Ascent Hospitality, under CEO and co-founder Nash Patel.

The 105-suite hotel was converted from the historic old Bishop-Parker building, which was constructed by Schloss & Kahn Wholesale Grocers between 1905 and 1907.

Nearby are Legacy Museum, the Hank Williams Museum, the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre, the Alabama State Capitol, and numerous local and historic sites.

The new hotel also features artifacts from the original building in the lobby.

In July, a Fairfield by Marriott Inn and Suites managed by Ascent Hospitality was opened in Goshen, Indiana.
