AN ASIAN AMERICAN hotelier is building a full-service hotel near Orlando International Airport on land he has held for a decade.

Dheeraj Reddy, manager of Reddy Hotels and Green Stay Hospitality LLC in Orlando, took part in late December in a groundbreaking ceremony to announce the start of a Cambria Suites hotel, an upscale brand by Choice Hotels International.

The five-story, 106-room hotel is going up on three acres about two miles from the airport. Growth Spotter in 2016 reported family-owned Reddy Hotels had held onto the land for 10 years and decided to build a hotel as a result of the airport’s $2 billion expansion.

Green Stay Hospitality is the developer. The company is a subsidiary of Reddy Hotels, which has other properties in the area. The Cambria Hotel Orlando International Airport is slated to open in early 2021.
