Tom Pritzker, executive chairman of Hyatt Hotels Corp. and chairman and CEO of The Pritzker Organization, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Americas Lodging Investment Summit on Jan. 22-24 in Los Angeles.
Pritzker also sits on Royal Caribbean Cruises’ board of directors and founded several companies, including biotech company Bay City Capital and health care companies Reliant Pharmaceuticals and First Health. His philanthropic efforts include chairing the Hyatt Foundation, sponsor of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, and the Center for Strategic & International Studies in Washington, D.C.
He also sits on the board of trustees for the University of Chicago and the Art Institute of Chicago. Also, he founded the Pritzker Neuropsychiatric Disorders Research Consortium, which funds research into the genetic basis of psychiatric disorders.
