Three new My Place transient and extended-stay hotels are planned to open in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin; Overland Park, Kansas; and Shakopee, Minnesota, by the end of the year.

MY PLACE HOTELS of America will add three new properties in the Midwest. The three new developments also move the Aberdeen, South Dakota-based company into three more states.

The new My Place locations are in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin; Overland Park, Kansas; and Shakopee, Minnesota. Construction has already begun on the Mount Pleasant hotel while work on the other two locations is expected to begin in the spring.

The 64-room, three-story Mount Pleasant hotel is near Foxconn’s Wisconsin campus, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and Petrifying Springs Park. It is expected to open this summer. The 64-room Overland Park hotel is near the 135th Street Business Park, Blue Valley Recreation Sports Complex and Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex and is expected to open by the end of this year.

The four-story, 63-room Shakopee hotel will be near Canterbury Park and Valleyfair. It is also set to open by the end of 2019. My Place expects to enter a total of six new states this year, increasing its footprint to 27 states.

“My Place’s rapid expansion across the United States is still one of the greatest indications of success on every level,” said My Place Executive Vice President of Franchise Development Terry Kline. “The growth we’ve experienced within the last few years wouldn’t be possible without excellent service to guests, owners, and operators.”

My Place is an extended stay brand with rooms featuring kitchens that rent on a nightly, weekly or monthly rate. The company has 45 open hotels with 75 more in the pipeline.
