Motel 6 launches Great Teddy Bear Roundup

Motel 6 will help bring comfort to children experiencing stressful or traumatic situations with the fourth annual Great Teddy Bear Roundup.

New teddy bears can be donated at any participating Motel 6 in the US and Canada now through December 8 and will be delivered to local law enforcement agencies, fire departments, hospitals and Ronald McDonald House Charities that will utilize the teddy bears to soothe children in need.

During the Great Teddy Bear Roundup, Motel 6 collects new, small- to medium-sized teddy bears on behalf of each location’s local service agencies.

As a supporter of Ronald McDonald House Charities, Motel 6 has included RMHC as a beneficiary of the Great Teddy Bear Roundup in 2011, assisting locally in their mission to improve the lives, health and well-being of children. ‘We are grateful for the support of our guests and those in the community who have generously donated over 32,000 teddy bears for the cause over the past three years,’ said Jim Amorosia, CEO of Motel 6 and Studio 6. ‘Local police, fire departments and social services are invaluable to our communities, and we are honored to support their efforts comforting children.’

Motel 6 encourages guests and community members to contact their local Motel 6 or Studio 6 to confirm the location’s participation in the Great Teddy Bear Roundup prior to dropping off their donations.
