Pete Metzger is now franchise development regional vice president of Choice Hotels International’s upscale soft brand Ascend Hotel Collection brand in North America and the Caribbean. Previously he was director for Ascend.
Metzger also worked as global sales manager for Choice’s upscale Cambria Hotels. He has a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University.
Choice CEO Patrick Pacious discussed the role Cambria and Ascend have played in the company’s expansion plans during Choice Hotels International’s 64th annual global conference in May. At the time he said Cambria has 45,000 rooms worldwide, while Ascend has more than 200 hotels signed – more than any other soft brand, including Marriott and Hilton combined – and 50 in development.
“We knew we could move up in segments, and we did,” Pacious said.
