Kellyn Smith Kenny is to join Hilton Worldwide on Jan. 29 as senior vice president and chief marketing officer. She will oversee the marketing strategy for the hotel franchiser and its 14 brands. She also leads the team in business-to-customer marketing.
Kenny has cross-industry and strategic marketing expertise in consumer, competitive and service-focused executive roles. She was vice president of marketing at Uber in the U.S. and Canada. Previous roles include senior vice president of marketing at Capital One’s consumer banking division, and overseeing retail and B2B marketing at Microsoft.
Kenny has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colgate University. She is based in Hilton’s global headquarters in McLean, Virginia, and reports to Jon Witter, chief customer officer.
