Rich Higdon, Keith Battaglia and Bryan Showalter are Hyatt Hotel Corp.’s management team for the Hyatt Centric Mountain View hotel in Mountain View, California. The hotel is scheduled to open in mid-July.
OTO Development is developing and will manage the 167-room lifestyle hotel.
Higdon is the hotel’s general manager. Battaglia is the director of sales and Showalter is executive chef chef of Fairchilds Public House, the hotel’s restaurant and bar.
Previously, Higdon worked as opening general manager for Hyatt Place Emeryville/San Francisco Bay Area. He also served as general manager of Hilton Santa Cruz/Scotts Valley for 15 years, as well as independent hotels.
Battaglia began his hospitality career in high school and has a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Boston University. Showalter started as a busboy at a café in the Detroit suburbs and later studied culinary arts at Oakland Community College and Schoolcraft College.
In May, Hyatt created a new division dedicated to promoting its lifestyle brands and appointed former CEO of Two Roads Hospitality Asia Frederic Flageat-Simon as head of the new division.
