The Fairfield Inn & Suites Alpharetta near Atlanta, Georgia, is one of six properties included in a transaction Hunter Hotel Advisors brokered in December.

ATLANTA-BASED BROKERAGE firm Hunter Hotel Advisors begins its 40th year in business with the beginning of 2019. In 2018 the firm handled the sale of 112 hotels totaling $801,761,720 million and held its 31st Hunter Hotel Conference.

Hunter’s sold properties in 30 states, primarily in the West and South. There were 13 sales in Ohio, 11 in Texas and another 11 in Florida. Most of the hotels were Marriott with 42 sold in the year, while Hilton, Hyatt, Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts, Extended Stay America and Motel 6 also in the top six of Hunter’s brands.

In early December the company brokered the sale of six properties around Atlanta from Hotel Development Partners to Driftwood Acquisitions & Development. The deal gave Driftwood another 568 rooms in some of the city’s strongest markets using crowdfunding to finance the deal.

The hotels are the Fairfield Inn & Suites Buckhead, Fairfield Inn & Suites Atlanta Perimeter Center, Fairfield Inn & Suites Alpharetta, SpringHill Suites Alpharetta, TownePlace Suites Alpharetta and TownePlace Suites Kennesaw. HDP has owned the properties since 2015 and performed $16 million in renovations to them. Hotel Equities managed the hotels.

Hunter seeks to maintain deep knowledge of the markets in which they operate, said President Teague Hunter, with a focus on building strong relationships with corporate and private owners.
