STEVIE AWARDS FOR Women in Business recently honored Hemsworth Communications of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as one of the nation’s fastest-growing companies.

Hemsworth Communications founder Samantha Jacobs accepted the Silver Stevie Award during the 14th annual gala held on Nov. 14 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

Also receiving awards were two of Hemsworth Communication clients, Tamara Baldanza-Dekker, chief marketing officer of Margaritaville Holdings, and Lily Mockerman, founder, president and CEO of Total Customized Revenue Management. Mockerman won a bronze for Female Entrepreneur of the Year and Baldanza-Decker won a bronze for Female Executive of the Year.

Lily Mockerman, founder and CEO of Total Custom Revenue Management, was awarded as one of the Stevie Awards’ Female Entreprenuer of the Year.

Both Jacobs and Mockerman have been featured in Priya, the business magazine for entrepreneurial women owned and published by Asian Media Group USA, owner and publisher of Asian Hospitality.

“I am honored to accept this prestigious award, and to have been recognized alongside so many incredible women,” said Jacobs. “This award truly is a testament to the efforts of our fantastic team members.”

Jacobs launched Hemsworth Communications in 2014 and since that time, the agency has maintained a rapid ascent, signing acclaimed global brands and receiving numerous accolades for its consistent results. Hemsworth focuses on the travel, tourism, hospitality and lifestyle brand categories. The company also counts as a client Best Western Hotels & Resorts Inc.

Hemsworth has achieved several milestones in 2017, opening two new office locations in Atlanta and Orlando, making several new hires, promoting existing team members and creating entry-level positions that afford new opportunities to those looking to break into the PR industry.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world’s top honors for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organizations they run. This year, more than 1,500 nominations were submitted from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry for consideration in more than 90 categories. Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 170 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process.
