Atlanta-based Hospitality Lodging Systems has signed a 15-year master license agreement with Istanbul, Turkey-based Continent Hotels Worldwide to bring its Budgetel and Haven hotel brands to Turkey, Russia, parts of Central Asia and West Africa.

TURKEY, RUSSIA AND other parts of Central Asia and West Africa are about to get their first Budgetel and Haven hotels. Atlanta-based Hospitality Lodging Systems has signed a 15-year master license agreement with Istanbul, Turkey-based Continent Hotels Worldwide to bring the brands to the new international market.

CHW currently operates 27 properties in urban areas of Turkey, Russia, Georgia, China, Indonesia, India, and Bangladesh. CHW’s brands include luxury and upscale properties under Continent Hotels & Resorts; mid-scale properties under Ancyra Hotels & Inns; and independent luxury and upscale properties under Lofty Collection Hotels.

“American brands have a solid reputation around the world for value and quality,” HLS Chairman and CEO Doug Collins said. “This license agreement enables us to collaborate with CHW in providing fine accommodations to under-served hotel markets in fast-growing areas of the world.  In addition, we have the opportunity to introduce America to CHW’s luxury, full-service, Continent Hotel brand.”

HLS currently operates 52 hotels under three brands:  Budgetel Inns & Suites; Haven Inns & Suites; and AmeriVu Inns & Suites. The Budgetel and Haven brands are well suited for the new market, said CHW Managing Partner and Principal Ethem Zagikyan. “There is a strong demand in these areas for dependable lodging at affordable prices,” he said.
