The AmeriVu Hotel in Cumberland, Wisconsin, has opened. Nick Rai, founder of AmeriVu, owns the 40-room Cumberland hotel. Previously it was the Cumberland Inn and Suites, and before that a Super 8. It is among four AmeriVu hotels that have opened this month.
Also open is the 42-room AmeriVu in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. The other two are conversions planned to open within 90 days in northern Wisconsin (43 rooms) and Atlanta (150 rooms).
Rai founded AmeriVu Inn & Suites in 2015. Hospitality Lodging Systems of Atlanta, Georgia, signed a long-term licensing and management agreement in March 2016 with Rai, head of Vishay Hotels Inc.
At the time of the deal, five AmeriVu hotels were opened and operating in Wisconsin and Ohio. Doug Collins is founder and CEO of Hospitality Lodging Systems. It has 50 properties opened under its other brands, Haven Inns & Suites and Budgetel Inns & Suites.
