The 146-room hotel is part owned by Asian American led Noble Investment Group

GROUND HAS BEEN broken for the construction of a new Homewood Suites by Hilton in Edina, Minnesota. Atlanta-based Noble Investment Group, led by Senior Managing Principal and Chief Executive Officer Mit Shah, developed the four-story, 146-room, all-suites hotel, which is set to open early fall 2018.

Simon Property Group, the owner and operator of the Southdale Center development of which the new Homewood Suites will be a part, is part owner in the hotel. The Homewood Suites will include meeting space, a fitness room, an indoor swimming pool, a lobby bar, a patio with a fire pit, and an outdoor cooking area.

Southdale Center opened in in 1956 as the nation’s first indoor regional shopping mall. In 2015 Simon Property Group opened One Southdale Place, a residential development. The development includes the new Hennepin County Service Center, and a Life Time fitness center is scheduled to open there in2019.
