The Four Points by Sheraton Atlanta Airport West is now open near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Managed by Atlanta-based Hotel Equities, it is the first Four Points in Georgia.
The 186-room hotel features 4,500 square feet of meeting space and is three miles from the airport and within driving distance of the Georgia Aquarium, the CNN Center, the Atlanta Zoo, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and the Georgia International Convention Center.
Amenities inside include a hotel pub, Café Iris, a 24-hour fitness center, business center and Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. It also offers Four Points “Best Brews and BBQ” program which serves guests local beers and seasonal BBQ-style appetizers.
GGDE LLC, a subsidiary of Tiande US, a commercial real estate developer led by Iris (Yuxin) Li, has renovated a former Motel 6 into a Four Points by Sheraton. Tiande US acquired the rundown, vacant hotel in June 2015 and began renovations the next year.
“We look forward to welcoming guests to our hotel and to Café Iris, our modern pub, as a destination of choice for leisure and business travelers from all over the world,” Li said. “We are happy to have partnered with Hotel Equities as they have done an amazing job throughout this complete renovation and opening.”
Hotel Equities of Atlanta was named manager of the hotel in February 2016 and has overseen its transformation. At the time the property was part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts brand portfolio. In September 2016, Marriott International acquired Starwood and its brands.
Four Points by Sheraton is an upscale, full-service brand that is attracting more Asian American hoteliers into its franchising fold.
Four Points by Sheraton Atlanta Airport West sits atop a hill at Camp Creek Parkway and Interstate 285, a major gateway to the airport.
Tiande US originated in 2000 in Harbin, China, as a general contractor, according to Li’s LinkedIn profile. It opened offices in Canada in 2011 and in the U.S. in 2015. Li is executive director and vice president of the U.S. division based in the Philadelphia area. It is focused on hotel investment, renovation and development. It also has a hotel furniture supply department.
Li is a 2015 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in finance and economics.
