Laura Dinu and Amy Champagne are The Hospitality and Marketing Association International’s choices for Hotel Sales Professionals of the Year.
Dinu, the director of groups and meetings at InterContinental Hotel Group’s Global Sales Americas, won the Above-property Hotel Sales Professional of the Year award while HSMAI recognized Champagne, the director of sales and catering at Antlers Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colorado, as the Hotel Sales Professional of the Year in the On-property category.
They were recognized at Mike Leven Leadership Conference held at Colorado Springs March 18 to 19.
Dinu has more than 15 years of experience working in domestic, international group, and luxury travel segments. Prior to joining IHG, she worked for Omni Hotels and Resorts in New York City and San Francisco.
Champagne, who began her career at Antlers Hotel in 2000 as a front desk agent, was cited for her leadership in the promotion and advancement of the sales discipline at the regional and local level, serving as a leader of HSMAI Southern Colorado Chapters and supporting and mentoring colleagues at her hotel and community. Champagne left the Antlers in 2012, but returned in 2015 and was promoted to her current position in February 2018. She oversees the onsite day to day operation of sales, catering and marketing productions.
