Jane Blake is officially global chief human resources officer at Interstate Hotels & Resorts. Previously, she was interim head of human resources. In addition, Interstate in April hired Michael Miner as senior vice president of operations, overseeing operations at the management company’s full-service hotels in the New York region and other select markets.
Before joining Interstate in 2014, Blake had served in human resources leadership roles at Marcus Corp. and La Quinta Inns & Suites. At Interstate, she is responsible for all aspects of human resources management and development for Interstate’s 30,000 associates. She has a bachelor’s degree in business management and an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Miner began his career as general manager at an Interstate managed property. He was general manager at three full-service hotels over 11 years with Interstate. He moved on to managing director in New Orleans and Chicago for Starwood Hotels & Resorts. He then worked for KOR Group overseeing hotels in Los Angeles and San Francisco, returning to Interstate in 2006 as general manager at the Westin Bonadventure. For the past nine years, he has worked at HEI Hotels, managing a portfolio of branded assets throughout the U.S.
Interstate and its affiliates manage 425 hotels with nearly 75,000 rooms around the world. Interstate also has agreements to manage 40 hotels with nearly 5,200 rooms that are under development or in construction.
