Best Western Hotels & Resorts leadership and Neil Patel and others from 28 Hospitality LLC participate in a ground-breaking ceremony on Oct. 30 in Austin, Texas, where Patel is constructing his sixth Best Western hotel, a dual build featuring a Best Western Plus and an Executive Residency, the company’s new extended-stay brand.

NEIL PATEL LED a ground-breaking ceremony on Oct. 30 for his dual-branded Best Western Plus and Executive Residency in Austin, Texas.

Patel heads 28 Hospitality LLC, which is building its sixth Best Western hotel. “It’s an exciting time for our company,” said Patel, referring to the dual-brand concept.

The Plus is an upper midscale brand and the Executive Residency is a new extended-stay brand. Best Western Hotels & Resorts positioned the new brand to pair well with its other brands, usually a Best Western Plus or a Best Western Premier.

“We believe it’s important that our property provide an extended-stay option, so that we have the flexibility to supply business and leisure travelers with everything they need,” Patel said. “Austin is a busy city with so much to offer and we’re looking forward to providing visitors with two accommodations options under one roof.”

Best Western Plus Austin/Executive Residency by Best Western will consist of 86 rooms – 39 of which will offer for business and leisure travelers seeking an extended-stay option.

Ron Pohl, senior vice president and chief operations officer for Best Western Hotels & Resorts, said, “Dual-branded properties have become a major focus for us, as they give developers the opportunity to connect with guests seeking differentiating market segments. Our dual-branded pipeline is growing rapidly and we’re really looking forward to seeing Austin arrive on the Best Western map.”

Best Western Hotels & Resorts has 30 Best Western Plus/Executive Residency by Best Western properties in the pipeline and the number is predicted to escalate.
