The Courtyard by Marriott Des Moines West / Jordan Creek in West Des Moines, Iowa, has a new owner.
Arbor Lodging Partners of Chicago last week acquired the 102-room full-service property. Vamsi Bonthala is CEO of Arbor Lodging Partners. Sheenal Patel is CEO of Arbor Lodging Management, which will manage the hotel.
The deal marks Arbor Lodging’s entry into the Des Moines market and furthers its expansion into the Midwest, said Patel in a statement. The hotel opened in 2008. It is the fourth Marriott branded hotel Arbor Lodging Partners has acquired in the past two years.
The property is next to Jordan Creek Town Center shopping and a few-minutes’ drive from Des Moines International Airport and several local businesses, including Wells Fargo headquarters, Nestle, Athene, Principal Financial, Unity Point Health, DuPont Pioneer, Hy-Vee and Nationwide. The hotel also is close to venues that host annual events such as the Iowa State Fair, I80/35 Music Festival, baseball and soccer.
