Aiden by Best Western @ Austin City Hotel has opened in Austin, Texas. It is the first U.S. location for the boutique brand that was launched last year.
The 158-room hotel is two miles away from the downtown convention center and very close to the South Congress or ‘SoCo’ District.
“Austin is the perfect fit for the first Aiden in the U.S. With the fun and youthful vibe, the city is known for, it’s a perfect complement to the cool and laidback personality of the Aiden brand,” Khanjee said. “This property will be a fantastic lodging option for the emerging Travis Heights area and a tremendous asset to the community.”
Best Western launched Aiden and another boutique brand, Sadie, last year. Last November the company announced the first three upscale Sadie Hotel properties are to be built in Tampa, Florida; Fredericksburg, Texas; and New York, New York in 2020.
The first 151-unit Aiden Hotel opened in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea, and the second, a 90-room hotel with a multi-functional space, bar, restaurant, pool, and three meeting rooms, opened last December near Paris, France.
Best Western President and CEO David Kong said each Sadie and Aiden property will be unique, with certain similarities. At the center of either Sadie or Aiden will be a multi-functional public area with a café or a bar. The hotels will have mobile check-in. They will not have a front desk. Instead, the bartender or the barista will complete the check-in process.
“As these brands grow, it will become evident how different Aiden Hotel and Sadie Hotel are than any other brands, as they intertwine technology with art, bring innovation and colorful, locally inspired design to each location,” Kong said. “Whether a conversion or new build, we set owners up for success with dedicated teams to help these hotels ramp up quickly and efficiently in their market.”
The hotel’s owner is Santosh Khanjee.
