AAHOA President and CEO Chip Rogers joined the U.S. Travel Association board of directors this week. The collaboration with USTA underscores the close relationship between the two industries, Rogers said.
“Travel is an integral part of the American experience, and the success of the hotel industry relies heavily upon its ease and affordability,” Rogers said in statement.
Rogers said he will present USTA with the perspective of AAHOA’s 18,000 members on issues including infrastructure redevelopment and boosting the number of international visitors to the U.S. AAHOA recently helped create the Visit U.S. Coalition to promote international visits to the U.S. and the Brand USA initiative.
